    Introduction to Archery

Archery is the practise of shooting arrows out of a bow. this originated as a way to hunt for food from a distance. This became an advantage since with this you could now hunt with out risk of personal injury. Even to this day archery is still used for hunting. As time went on some one had an idea to use it as a weapon against each other and it was adapted for other war, it became a very useful advantage in wars. It allowed for archers to kill enemy soldiers from a distance, allowing for lives to be saved on the victors side. When better means of killing each other became available to armies people began using archery as a sport for those that possessed skills in it. It became a competition used for entertainment, solving arguments and to just see who’s better then who. It has also been the insperation for many stories and movies, such as Robin Hood.
